Brown, Jones Burdette
Jones Burdette “J.B.” Brown was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on Sept. 25, 1934 to the late Jack Harlan Brown and Laura Hiatt Brown McHargue, and departed this earthly home on August 15, 2022 at the age of 87. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Brown.
Coach Brown is survived by his wife,Carolyn Bates Worley Brown, his children, Jack (Brenda) Brown, Matt (Jennifer) Brown, Tina (Stacey) Malugin, Teresa (Steve) Craft, and Tammy Worley, grandchildren, Grant Brown, Tara Christie, Katelyn Cups, Haley Brown, Luke Brown, Jake Brown, Keith Totty, Cory Totty, Tabitha Totty, Alexandria West, and Olivia Craft, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Coach Brown was an avid golfer, basketball coach, and the strongest supporter of young people to be found, he loved his family and friends, and never met a stranger, he always had a joke, a huge smile, and a pocket full of candy.
Visitation with the family will be 19 Aug 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. A Celebration of Life will be held 20 Aug 2022 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
