On the afternoon of June 17, 2020, Ms. JoAnn Brewer peacefully passed away in her Hohenwald home surrounded by family. She was born April 11, 1941 in San Francisco CA. to the late Loretta Leicht Kinstler. Along with her mother she was preceded in death by her adopted father Gerald Kinstler; brother Edward Kinstler; sister Carol Kinstler; and her son Rick Brewer.

Ms. Brewer was retired from Dana Corporation where she worked in accounts payable. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lobelville, TN. Ms. JoAnn enjoyed spending time in her garden, sewing, and working in her yard. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ms. Brewer is survived by her sons Ray (Virginia) Brewer Jr, Ronnie (Lisa) Brewer, Robert (Regina) Brewer; her daughter Melanie (Brian) Maher; daughter in law Lori Brewer; a brother Jerry Kinstler; a sister Kathleen Ossey; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday June 20, 2020 from 5:00-9:00 pm and Sunday June 21,2020 from 11:30-2:00 in the funeral home chapel. A funeral service will follow Sunday at 2:00 pm with Brother Jimmy Andrews officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.
