Mr. James Donald “Don” Brewer 78 of Hohenwald passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on January 27,2021. He was born in Waynesboro, TN on January 6,1943 to the late Dillard and Amby (Ferrell) Brewer. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Dana Ruiz and brother Ray Brewer. Mr. Brewer served our country after enlisting in the United States Air Force.

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing a round of golf or heading to the river to get some fishing time in.  Being an avid outdoor lover, he would often participate in dove hunting. There were even times he would head out to Lawrenceburg in hopes of finding the perfect addition to his oil lamp collection. There was nothing more special to him though than his family. He and his son Donald enjoyed kayaking and floating down the Buffalo river or taking his grandchildren to fish.  Once you got to know Don it was not long before you knew how loving of a husband, father, and grandfather he was. In the eyes of his grandchildren, he hung the moon, and no one can compare to their papa.

 Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife of 22 years Mrs. Sandra Hinson Brewer; children Donald (Cindy) Brewer, Angela Brewer, Chrissy (Tony) Nimmo, and Stephen Owen; stepsisters Sadie and Carol; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Friday January 29,2021 in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 30,2021 with burial to follow in Swiss Cemetery. Brother Art McCormick will be officiating.
