Breece, Don R
Don Roosevelt Breece, a longtime resident of Lyles, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the age of 85, at Tristar Horizon Medical Center. He was born on June 1, 1938, in Lyles, Tennessee, to the late James Ernest Breece and Ethel Elizabeth Nash Breece.
Mr. Breece is survived by his loving wife, Marie Capps Breece, and his children: son Joe Pernell of Burns, daughter Debbie Dunnagan of Dickson, son John Bradley of Centerville, daughter Tracey Gordon of Nunnelly, and daughter Kristy Bradley of Murfreesboro. He is also remembered fondly by his 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Mildred Stinson and Carolyn King.
Throughout his life, Mr. Breece dedicated many years to the construction industry, where he excelled as a skilled carpenter. He was a committed member of the Rocky Valley Church of Christ, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his children Darrell Breece and Carol Sullivan, and his siblings: Ilda Mai McFarlin, Rachell Bass, Wayne Breece, and Claude Breece.
Don Roosevelt Breece will be remembered for his hard work, his devotion to his family, and his steadfast faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation with the family will be 23 Feb 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and 24 Feb 2024 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be 24 Feb 2024 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
