Brenda worked as a CNA at the Life Care Center. Brenda enjoyed the simple things in life. In her younger days, she would go for walks with her sisters in the park or just lay out on a blanket and watch the stars. She also loved to go fishing back then. She enjoyed going “Yardsale-ing” with her sisters. They would get up early and plan out their stops that they were going to make on a given morning. She had a great love for Country Music. She liked most all of it, but in particular her favorite was Willie Nelson. If there was a spot for a #1 fan she would have contended for it. Brenda listened to and loved his music, she even had a Willie Nelson lamp that stayed at her bedside. Once she fell ill, she had a request to go to one of his concerts, and to meet him face to face. She was able to do both thanks to the efforts of her sisters who took her in a wheelchair to see him live. She loved her family. Her grandchildren were her world. Brenda enjoyed the time she got to spend with them. She loved to gather for cookouts and holidays. Slowing down and spending time with those she loved was important to her. She was “one of the best” her sisters say about her. She didn’t need or want diamonds, gold, or the finer things. Brenda was content with what she had. She will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.
