John Francis Bertrand, 72, of Centerville, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held at 1 p.m. at the Catholic Church in Hohenwald with Father Kevin officiating. Burial took place in the Campground Cemetery in Centerville. Mr. Bertrand was born February 25, 1938 in Ontario, Canada to the late Francis Leo Bertrand and Lillian Rose Clark Bertrand. He was a self-employed businessman, owning Crossways Trading Post in Centerville, and a member of Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Lilieth (Shave) Bertrand of Centerville; three daughters, Brenda Anne Lane of Centerville, Carrie Harvill of Lyles, and Jennifer Lynn Carroll of Waynesboro; one brother, Robert Bertrand of Miami Lakes, Florida; one sister, Maureen Frances Garner of Opalocka, Florida; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
