James Henry Berry of Collinwood, TN was born April 18, 1927 in Wayne County, the son of the late Henry and Elsie Horton Berry. He was united in marriage to the former Iva Jean Bryant on December 7, 1952.

Mr. Berry was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Co. in Lawrenceburg. He was a member of the Collinwood Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood and served in the United States Army.

Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Iva Jean Bryant Berry and daughter, Benita Smith and husband, Mike, all of Collinwood; two grandchildren, Kacey Smith and wife, Miranda, and Kaylee Smith and Evan Stokes; sisters, Mabel Cameron and Wylodean Fite, both of Hohenwald; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Berry was preceded in death by two brothers, Bonnie Berry and Johnnie (Jab) Berry and three sisters, Roxie Berry, Ada Stricklin and Annie Holt.

Services were held on March 14, 2021 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood with Steven Turnbow and Malcolm Scott officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens at Collinwood.
