Norma Lee Talley Beard left this earthly life and went to her eternal home on Thursday September 8, 2022 at Saint Thomas West in Nashville after a brief illness.

She was born on January 14, 1938 to Britt and Alice Mae Talley. She married Gary Leon Beard on October 25, 1963. They were married 58 wonderful years. Norma worked for Genesco, Levi’s, and retired from Southeastern Pants. She was a lifelong member of Beaver Dam Springs Church of Christ, on Wednesday nights Norma and her family often attended Gordonsburg Church of Christ, and Flat Rock Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by her daughter, Shelia (Keith) Plunkett, grandson, Hudson Cotton Beard, daughter-in-law, Lezlee Dabbs Beard, brother, Howard (Christine) Talley and sisters, Orpha Easley, and Lucille Talley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Howard Beard, brothers, Eddie, Paul, Rex, and Monroe Talley, and sister, Opal Whittle.

Visitation with the family will be 10 Sep 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be 11 Sep 2022 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Charles L Nickell Memorial Park, Centerville, TN. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.
