Timothy Dale Bates, 56, of Hohenwald, TN, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019, at his home. He was born on May 27, 1963, to Blanville & Era Bates. He was married to Debbie Doyle Bates at the time of his passing.

He worked for the Lewis County Highway Dpt. as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Doyle Bates of Hohenwald, TN;  mother, Era Bates of Hohenwald, TN;  daughter, Naysha Chapin (Zack) of Spring Hill, TN;  step-son, Benji Rainey of Hohenwald, TN;  brother, Randy Bates (Nora), Brother-Hohenwald, TN;  sisters-in-law, Sonja Staggs (Tinker), Tammy Jackson, and Misty Rogers Blade;  brothers-in-law, Greg Doyle (Nancy) and Elbert Ray Mickey;  niece, Tanna Fetcho;  grandchildren, Knox Rainey, Aspyn Rainey, Annason Chapin.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Blanville Bates, son, Brandon Bates, and sister,  Brenda Mickey.

Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, 2 June 2019 at McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 3, 2019, at 2:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.
