Judy Wayne Bates, age 78 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday August 21, 2025.

Graveside Service will be held Monday August 25, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Centerville, TN (2833 TN-100 Centerville, TN 37033). Pallbearers: Jacob Bates, Jeff Sloan, Jerry L. Burlison Jr, Pete Tapia, Braxton Bates, Josh Fuller, Brycen Bates, Dylan Lillard And Steve Bumpus. Honorary Pallbearers: Hudson Lillard, Sean Bates and Leo Bates.

Judy was born June 28, 1947 in Hohenwald, TN. She enjoyed shopping and gardening. She worked as a hairdresser for many years.

Judy is survived by her son Scott (Kristie) Bates of McEwen, TN, daughter Sherri Bates Agee of Gallatin, brother Jerry L. (Penny) Burlison, Sr of Medina, OH, sister Peggy Stacey of Gallatin, grandchildren Shelby (Dylan) Garrette-Lillard, Jacob S. Bates, Braxton Bates, Baylea Bates, Brycen Bates, Sean Bates, Leo Bates and Kaylyn McClanahan, great-grandchildren Hudson Lillard and Annalise Kate Lillard, several nieces and nephews and her beloved furry companion, Izzy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bates, son, Barry Bates, sister, Glenda Kay Coates and her parents, Pearline and Howard Burlison.
