Lorene M. Baker was born on May 26, 1939, in Nunnelly, Tennessee, and passed away on March 13, 2021, in Waverly, Tennessee. She was 81 years old.
She is the daughter of the late Percy and Lucille Cannon Morgan.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Raymond Baker. Children, Marilynn Arnold of Duck River, Dianne Baker of Hurricane Mills, David Baker of Centerville, and Melisa Davis of Centerville. Grandson, Luke Baker of Lyles. Step-grandchildren, Lauren Tankersley of Hohenwald, and Brianna Bullock along with her daughter Bella of Dickson. Sisters, Vergie Lawson of Georgia, Mary Fisher of Ohio, Annie Mae Tarkington of Nashville, and Martha Weber of Centerville. Brother, Ricky Morgan of Centerville. Along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed working in the yard, mowing, and keeping flowers. She loved red roses. She always cooked big meals around holidays, and never asked for any help doing it. She loved country music, especially her favorites George Jones, and Marty Stuart. Just a few days ago she watched the Marty Stuart Show on RFD-tv. She was a faithful listener of the Grinders Switch Ensemble every Saturday Morning. She would get mad if she got a phone call during that time because it interrupted her listening.
She was not afraid to tell you that she was the boss. Marilynn was her mean one, Dianne was her valedictorian, David was one she had to keep a tight rein on, and Melisa was her baby. Mr. Raymond was simply her best friend.
