Barbara Babbs, a cherished soul whose generosity and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, in Summertown, Tennessee, at the age of 67. Born June 26, 1957, in Grundy, Virginia, Babbs was the daughter of Ida Mae Woosley, a loving mother to Chris Jaros and Dawn (Stacey) Anderson, a proud grandmother to Haden Anderson, and a dear sister to Paris Woosley Jr., and Betty Horton.
Barbara was known for her down-to-earth nature and her ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had an unwavering commitment to her family, providing a warm and nurturing home for her children and grandson.
A hard worker throughout her life, Barbara balanced her professional responsibilities with an extraordinary capacity for giving. She was a familiar and welcoming presence at the Hohenwald Food Bank, where she volunteered her time and energy to help those in need
Barbara had a unique passion for collecting knickknacks, each one carefully chosen to gift it to others. She delighted in the hunt for good deals, always eager to share her finds with friends and family. This hobby was one of the many ways she expressed her love and thoughtfulness.
Her home was her sanctuary, filled with the laughter of loved ones and the companionship of her cherished dogs. Barbara heart was truly happiest when she was spending time with her grandson Haden, sharing in his growth and adventures. These moments, filled with love and laughter, will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
To speak of Barbara is to speak of love, generosity, and kindness. She embodied these in every aspect of her life, from her unwavering support of her children to her selfless volunteer work. Barbara’s legacy is one of compassion and warmth.
