Betty Clair Asbury, 304 Thomas Avenue, died Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital. She was 68. The funeral was held Friday, August 23 at 1:00 p.m. with Dennis Altrogge, pastor of Seventh Day Adventist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Asbury was the daughter of the late Cabe L. and Iva Lou Moser O’Neal. She was born May 5, 1934. She was formerly employed with H.I.S. Survivors include her husband, Frank Asbury of Hohenwald; two daughters, Shirley Mosley of Columbia, and Marion Williams of Killen, Alabama; a half-brother, Pete O’Neal of Fayetteville; two sisters, Peggy Tillery of Mount Pleasant, and Joann Whorley of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews.
