Anderson, Sandra Kay
Sandra Kay Anderson, born September 9, 1959, in Linden, to the late Edward Hensley and Edith Escue Hensley, passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 65.
Sandra dedicated many years of her life working as a nurse’s aide in home health and geri-psych care, where her compassion and kindness touched many lives. Later, she chose to remain at home to help raise her family, a role she cherished deeply. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and found her greatest joy in the love of her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Anderson; her children, Richard Long, David Anderson, and Phillip Anderson; and her beloved grandchildren, Eathon Watts, Robert Anderson, James Anderson, Jack Anderson, Sally Anderson, and Brooklyn Long.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the service at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rex Reed. Burial followed at the Anderson Family Cemetery, located on the family homeplace at 740 Rockhouse Road.
