Eddie Wayne Anderson, a beloved family man and talented craftsman, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023. Born on May 17, 1939, in Hohenwald, TN, Eddie spent his entire life in his beloved hometown, where he left a lasting legacy of love, creativity, and generosity.

Eddie was born to Les and Pearl Hardin Anderson and grew up in a large, close-knit family. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Anderson, his son Terry Wayne Anderson, and siblings Grady, Charlie, Clovis, James (Tootsie), Erlene, Jean, and Iva. He is survived by his sisters Faye Davidson and Nell Wisdom, his adoring grandchildren Anna (Chad) Middleton, David Anderson, Andrea (Matt) Carroll, and April Rhinehart. Eddie also leaves behind his cherished great-grandchildren Haven, Brinley, Asher, Katie, Ella, Rett, Emma, and Haylee, along with several nieces and nephews, one of whom, Trina Weaks, held a special place in his heart.

Professionally, Eddie was known for his craftsmanship and precision in woodworking. He and his son Terry owned and operated Jimmy’s Cabinet Shop, where Eddie’s prestige cabinetry work was admired by many. His ability to create beautiful cabinets, tables, and chairs from simple pieces of wood was a testament to his creativity and skill.

Eddie was a man of simple pleasures. Known affectionally as “Paw-Paw” by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he cherished the time spent with his family, whether at the Tennessee river or simply at home in his yard. He found joy in the ordinary, whether it was swinging his grandchildren, cracking open walnuts from his tree to share, or sipping coffee on the porch while rocking in his chair. Eddie and Dorothy loved to dance, often going two-stepping with friends. He had a soft spot for good ole country music, which often echoed throughout his home.

Eddie’s generosity and love for his family were evident in all he did. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and strived to ensure that his family never lacked anything. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of his eye, and he delighted in spoiling them. The loss of his wife Dorothy in 2021 and son Terry in 2022, both to cancer, was a great blow to Eddie. Despite his sorrow, he found comfort in the care of his granddaughter, who took care of him as his health deteriorated.

Eddie’s wish was to be reunited with his wife and son. As his body became feeble, his wish was fulfilled. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and a family who will always remember him fondly.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 21, 2023, at Banks Cemetery beginning at 11:00 am with Brother Greg Anderson officiating.
