Mr. James “Jimmy” Gary Allen Jr. recently of Hohenwald, unexpectedly passed from this earthly world in Florence, AL on August 26, 2022. Mr. Allen was the son of Betty Lou and James Gary Allen Sr.  He was born May 11, 1967 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Jimmy moved to Hohenwald in 1984 where he and his family established Twin Cedar Logging in 1985. He worked there until moving to Florence, Alabama in 2020.

He is survived by his only loving son, Evan Allen of Collinwood; his loving parents, Betty Allen and Jim Allen and fiance Judy Burton; and siblings, Kevin Allen and Amy and Shawn Hale, all of Hohenwald and Jeff (Christy) Allen of Collinwood.

Visitation with family and friends will be held in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 12:00-2:00 pm with services following at 2:00. Burial will take place at the family cemetery at 400 Metal Ford Road, Hohenwald. TN. Brother Blake Quillen and Shane Blackwood will be officiating.
