Dorothy Sue Allen was born in Hickman County, TN on October 20, 1929 to the late Harvill and Anna Clark Dorton and entered eternal rest in Hampshire, TN on July 2, 2023 at the age of 93 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Allen, son, Al Allen, brothers, Robert Dorton, Peck Dorton and Joe Dorton, and sisters, Lorraine Collins and Margie Underhill.

She is survived by her daughter Ann Hooten, daughter in law Janie Allen, grandchildren Cori Parks, Stacey Seeback and Willie Allen, 6 grandchildren along with a host of other family members and friends.

Mrs. Allen loved her family deeply. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, quilting and embroidering. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her potato salad and coconut cake.

Visitation with the family will be 5 July 2023 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with Funeral Services to begin at 2:00 PM.  She will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Bill Allen, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
