Alcorn, Brenda Elaine
Brenda Elaine Adams Alcorn, a woman of love and joy, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024, in Linden, Tennessee, at the age of 74. Born on February 4, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee, Brenda was a cherished daughter to the late Virgil and Frances Wheeler Adams.
A graduate of Maplewood High School in 1968, Brenda was remembered by her classmates with the title of Best Personality, a trait that she carried throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her smile was a gift she generously shared, brightening the lives of many.
Brenda’s devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a loving mother to Amie and Steve Alcorn, a doting grandmother to Katlynn, Mason, and Cory, and an adoring great-grandmother to Kayla. Her sister Sylvia Bilbrey, along with nieces and nephews Justin D. Bratcher, Mary L. Alcorn, Melinda Alcorn, and Darrin Alcorn, will fondly remember her nurturing presence and unwavering support. Brenda was predeceased by her ex-husband, William Alcorn, and her dear brothers-in-law, Roy Randell Alcorn, Phillip Thomas Alcorn, and Roger T. Alcorn.
Brenda’s interests painted a picture of a woman who embraced life to the fullest. Her creative soul found joy in painting by numbers, an activity where she expressed her artistic side. In the kitchen, her cooking was an expression of love. Brenda’s love for movies and swimming were other facets of her diverse interests.
Her two cats, Benni and Gracy Mae, were her cherished companions, and she found immense joy in their feline antics and unconditional love. Brenda’s cousin, Pam McCuistion, stood by her side through thick and thin, sharing in the laughter and the tears that weave the fabric of a deep and lasting friendship.
