Duncan-Lindsey Marriage
DUNCAN – LINDSLEY (Lindsey) Joe Lindsley and Earline Duncan were united in marriage Monday morning near Voorhies Hardware Store while seated in a buggy, Esq. T.J. Petway officiating. The young couple came from Swan, procured license, were married and went on their way rejoiced. It was a quite affair, only such friends and well-wishers being present as chanced to be near when the matrimonial buggy drove up and the Esquire, came forth with the authority of state in his hand. The bride is the worthy and attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Duncan of near Salem, Swan. The groom is a farmer of the Indian Creek section where they will reside.
