Melba Sue Dabbs, age 82, born December 13, 1922 in Hohenwald, TN, died June 27, 2005 at Perry Community Hospital, Linden, Perry Co, TN. The funeral will be held at her graveside, June 29, 2005 at 2:30 PM. The officiating clergy Bruce McIntyre. Burial will take place June 28, 2005 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN. There will not be a visitation. Survivors include her son, John R. Dabbs; daughter, Rebecca Sue Dabbs; brothers, Loyd Skelton, William Skelton, Jackie Skelton and Albert “Moosie” Skelton, Jr.; sisters, Elva “Pete” Griner, Doris Osborne, and Lillie Mae Gibson. Preceded in death by her husband, J. P. Dabbs, parents, Albert H. and Bessie Ann (Fain) Skelton, Sr.; brothers, J. B. Skelton, Al Skelton, Joe Skelton, and Ernest Skelton; sister, Florine Duncan.
