Nick McClain Jr, age 88 of Hohenwald, TN passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at NHC Maury. He was born on Allens Creek in Hohenwald, TN to the late Talmadge McClain & Elizabeth Durham.

He was a truck driver and heavy machinery operator and was often known by the handle “dozer man”. His wife Patricia said for one of her anniversaries he bought her a dozer. His family described him as the kindest gentlest man ever known and just a quiet, simple man.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia McClain, sons, James (Diane) McClain of Hohenwald, TN, Terry (Marci) McClain of San Antonio, TX, Michael (Lynn) McClain of Franklin, TN, and John (Donna) McClain of Hohenwald, TN,  ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elvis McClain.

Visitation with the family will be held on 13 October 2019 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday at the McDonald Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, 14 October 2019 at 2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home with John Rawdon officiating.   A burial will not follow as Mr. McClain will be cremated, per the family’s wishes.
