Mr. Jerry Wayne Yates, 73, passed away peacefully at home with his son by his side on May 30, 2023. Mr. Yates was born on June 15, 1949, in Waynesboro, Tennessee to the late Hulon Tipton & Thelma Dean Pitts Yates.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 52 years and the love of his life, Marian Yates; his brothers, Hulon Yates, Walter Yates, and Marion Yates; sisters, Ruby Thompson and Beverly Webb.

He is survived by his son, Michael Yates; sister, Thelma (Clovis) Johns; his close friend, Greg Hamilton, as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Grinders Creek Church of Christ Cemetery with Blake Farr officiating.
