\nLooking for connecting families of Pleasant JAMES. Family records say he was a faith healer, farmer, and a woodcraftsman; however, the 1870 Census lists his profession as a blacksmith. Family lore claims a connection to the outlaw, Jesse JAMES, even to the point that Jesse had stayed with family members from time to time. There is no clear poof; however, there is a possible indication. In 1870, Pleasant, Census # 97 lived next door to his son, C.C. James, Census # 98. According to the Lawerence Co., TN, Historical Records, “It was reported that Jesse JAMES, the outlaw, stayed with C.C. James for a time.” Also there were family stories of some Indian blood being in the James line, but there is no proof of this. Would appreciate any help on this line.

\nI am seeking information on Burns, Barnes, Burnes Family that lived in Lawrence County before 1835. Lard or Laird Burns is one of the names. He is listed on the 1820 Census. \nGeorge H. VANDIVER was born about 1779 in Fairfield District, SC. but he moved to Lawrence County, TN in his adulthood and died there Sept. 17, 1866. John Hutcheson was my great-great-great-great-grandfather. John married Nancy Billingsley. Jesse married Sarah Mitchell. William Ragsdale married Lydia Waid Morris.

\nMary “Polly” FITZPATRICK married John PILLOW, b. 1781, on 20 May 1806 in Williamson County, Tennessee. Can anyone tell me who their parents, siblings, or children were? In the Brick Church Cemetery of Giles County, Tennessee, the same couple is buried as: John PILLOW (born Rockingham Co., NC, born 25 March 1781; died 20 July 1854; 73 years, 3 mos, 20 days) and his wife, Mary PILLOW, wife of J. PILLOW (she: born Stokes Co., NC, died 02 Oct 1850; age 65 years). Are there any descendants living in this area? Can anyone tell me anything about this couple? Think they are my g-g-g grandparents. Need to know the names of their children in order to find out for sure. Thanks for any help you can give me.

\nAm looking for information regarding James Manuel KELLY who was in LEOMA during mid 1950s’. Records gathered list address as Route 2. Need this information as he is biological father to two children. Neither of us know anything and our mother will not tell us anything. Also, he was in Thayer Veterans Hospital in 1960. Can gather no info on this location however. I was born in this location of Leoma as James Michael Kelly and need to gather all available information to get a birth certificate if possible at this time.
