\nPursuing the possibility that Allen J HAYES who married Louida PENNINGTON and lived in Lawrence County TN might be the youngest son in my GreatGreat Grandfather’s family. My great grandfather, John Wesley Hayes, born 1851 in Wayne County, TN to William R and Sarah (?) HAYES, had a younger brother, named Allen J., born about 1870 in Lewis County, TN. After the 1880 census and by 1888, John and several of his siblings migrated to Ellis County, TX. However I lose track of William and Sarah and some of their children after the 1880 census. Would like to know what happen to: William R. Hayes, his wife Sarah Hayes and these children: Sarah J. (Jane) Hayes, Wade H. Hayes, Mary Hayes, Allen J. Hayes and a son named Newton Hayes, that might actually be a child identified in the 1870 census as HINSON, Newton. Also seeking to confirm Sarah’s maiden name. I have information to share on this HAYES family.
