LEVERETTE,Jr.<br \/>\nMrs.W.D.MEADOWS and son,Verne,after a visit to Mrs.J.W.RAINEY,left for their<br \/>\nhome in Paragould,Ark.<br \/>\nMr.Paul SAVAGE left last Friday night for Chicago,to attend the Radio Manufactures<br \/>\nAssociation in session there all this week.<br \/>\n&#8211;DEATH&#8211;In an automobile accident one mile south of Henning Wednesday about 10<br \/>\no\u2019clock,Mr.Walter LACEY was so badly injured that he died enroute to Memphis.Mr.Will<br \/>\nGARRETT was with Mr.LACEY and was the driver of the Star car which ran off the Jeff<br \/>\nDavis Highway.Mr.GARRETT was arrested and brought to Ripley,charged with driving a<br \/>\ncar while intoxicated,and when the trial came up before Justice T.H.GREEN in the<br \/>\nafternoon,asked for a postponement until June 14th,which was granted and his bond was<br \/>\nplace at $500.00.Both LACEY and GARRETT formerly resided at Edith in this<br \/>\ncounty,before moving to Memphis.LACEY is survived by a wife and two children.<br \/>\n&#8211;CENTRAL&#8211;J.O.COX and family spent Saturday night and Sunday with J.R.COX and<br \/>\nfamily near Humboldt.<br \/>\n&#8211;ASBURY&#8211;Mrs.N.J.HENDERSON spent Thursday in Ripley in the home of Mrs.Emma<br \/>\nKLUTTS.<br \/>\nMesdames Ben McMAHAN and Will BURNS and little son,spent Friday afternoon at<br \/>\nLightfoot,guests of Mrs.Dupree NELSON.<br \/>\n&#8211;ELLIS SCHOOLHOUSE&#8211;Mr.MIDYETT and family,of Arp,were Sunday guests in the<br \/>\nFrank SMITH home.<br \/>\n&#8211;MACK&#8211;The Death Angel visited Mr.Bun MOORE\u2019s home Saturday night and took<br \/>\naway his beloved wife,who had been sick for two weeks.She was buried Sunday afternoon<br \/>\nin Green\u2019s Chapel Cemetery,the services being conducted by Rev.J.A.
