James Lindberg Erwin<\/strong>, 68, crane operator with Hutcherson Metal, died of cancer Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Westside Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Garden.<\/p>\n Mr. Erwin, the husband of Mary Francis Erwin, also leaves two daughters, Diane McCaslin and Brenda Patton, both of Halls; six sisters, Erma Olds of Ripley, Nancy Nix of Halls, Geneva Taylor and Peggy Gilliewater, both of South Fulton, and Rachel Hong and Mildred Childress, both of Troy; two brothers, Nell Erwin of Halls and Thomas Gail Erwin of Dyersburg, and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN) August 26, 1997 James Lindberg Erwin, 68, crane operator with Hutcherson Metal, died of cancer Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley.
