RIPLEY – Clyde Boyd ‘Chic’ Smith<\/strong>, 73, of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Ripley, founding partner of Westfield Engineering, died of cancer Sept. 21 at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ripley First Presbyterian Church with burial in Maplewood Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home has charge. Mr. Smith, the husband of Mary Ruth Smith and widower of Tommie Eaton Smith, also leaves two sons, William Smith of Humble, Texas, and Burnell Smith of Eagle River, Ark.; a brother, Roy Smith of West Memphis, and two grandchildren.
