Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church.<\/p>\n<p>He leaves his wife, Mrs. Effie Davis; three daughters, Mrs. Shelby Jean Day and Mrs. Geneva Ann Bryan, both of Memphis, and Mrs Effie Joyce Ethridge of St. Louis; three sons, Jerry Spencer Davis of Gates and Gary Lee Davis and Ricky Earl Davis, both of Halls; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Stewart and Mrs. Dorothy Olds, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Rosetta Spry of Halls; five brothers, William Davis, Rice Earl Davis and David Harold Davis, all of Indianapolis, Paul Davis of Tampa, Fla., and James Davis of Halls; 18 grand-children and nine great-grand-children.<br \/>\nDate of death July 18 1984<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mack Spencer Davis, 67 retired state highway department employee, died Monday at Baptist Hospital Lauderdale in Ripley.
