\nExamine these letters, Greeting. By the authority of the State of
\nTennessee, entrusted to our hands, on account of the competition of the
\nCourse, with our Proffersors, required by our laws, on his part and after a
\nthorough test of his Knowledge and skill by these same professors; and because
\nwe are informed that he is an honorable gentleman, we now promote Marvin
\nAugustus NUNN to the degree of Doctor of Medicine and impose upon him all the
\nduties required by this degree, and all the rights and privileges pertaining
\nthento by virtue of our full authority, we do hereby grant and confer by this
\nDiploma. In testimony whereof we have stamped the same with our Corporate Seal
