White<\/strong>, a resident and farmer of the Sixth District of Lauderdale County,<br \/>\nwas born August 27, 1847, in Virginia; his parents were also natives of that<br \/>\nState. Our subject was the oldest of seven children born to William S. and<br \/>\nLaurenia (Goldsen) White. The names of the children were George H., Mary E.<br \/>\n(who died in 1865), Annie M. (the wife of W. B. Sapp), Mattie L. (wife of J.<br \/>\nB. Campbell), Callie V. (wife of C. C. Anderson), William H., Andrew B. and<br \/>\nJack F. Our subject, with his parents, moved to Georgia from Virginia in<br \/>\n1863, and to Lauderdale County, Tenn., in 1871, and since then has been one of<br \/>\nthe successful farmers of the county. Mr. White is a valuable citizen, and<br \/>\nhas acquired his property since the war by his own labor and frugality.<br \/>\nSocially he stands well, and is an active member of the Missionary Baptist<br \/>\nChurch, and is a true Democrat.
