FRIDAY JULY 8, 1932, LAUDERDALE COUNTY ENTERPRISE RIPLEY, TENNESSEE FRIDAY

GATES–Mr. John CHILDRESS, age 76, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pearl CHILDRESS. He was a consistant member of the Methodist church for 40 years. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by his pastor, Rev. C.C. LEWIS, after which his remains were laid to rest in Concord Cemetery. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry THURMOND and ten grandchildren.
