DEED BOOK L-3 PAGE 204–Discharged on 7th September 1921. J.W. MORRIS & Wife to
R.M. MIDYETT & Wife; {DEED} Know all men by these present that we, J.W. MORRIS &
wife, GULLER MORRIS, for and in Consideration of $770.00 cash in hand we do hereby
sell and convey to R.M. MIDYETT & wife for one tract or parcel of land lying and
being in the 14th Civil District, of the above County & State. And it is bounded
and described as follows, TO WIT: “Beginning at a stake in the Ripley and Hales
Point Road in a hollow, thence down said hollow southwesterly to D.D. GARRETT’S
northwest corner,58 poles and 2 feet to a stake in the said branch; thence east 8
poles and 10 feet to a hickory tree in a branch; thence northwesterly 8 poles to
a stake in branch; thence up said hollow 17 poles and 2 feet; to FRANK LOTT’S west
boundary line; thence northerly with FRANK LOTT’S west line,9 poles and 6 feet
to a stake in Ripley and Hales Point Road; thence northwesterly with said road 35
poles to the beginning. Containing by estimation 8 1/2 acres more or less, and to
have and to hold the said tract to the said R.M. MIDYETT and JULIA MIDYETT, his
wife, his heirs and assigns forever and we further covenant that we are lawfully
seized and possessed of said tract of land and have a good right to convey same
and it is unencumbered, and we warrant and forever defend the title thereto
against all lawful persons whomsoever. The said R.M. MIDYETT is to consume a note
to T.M. GARRETT for $556 due and payable Jan.1st 1920 and express lien is
retained on said land to secure same. Said MORRIS to have all crops growing on
said land for this year, and said MORRIS is to pay taxes for the year 1919, and
