J.M.MIDYETT to MRS.EFFIE COTHRAN; For and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred dollars, six hundred dollars of the same to be paid in cash, the receipt for the same being acknowledged, and the balance being evidenced by two certain notes, each bearing even date with this instrument and due as follows; TO WIT: Three hundred dollars due December 1st,1925 and three hundred dollars due December 1st,1926,both drawing 6% interest from date, I, J.M. MIDYETT (a single man) have bargained, sold, and by these presents, do hereby transfer and convey unto MRS.EFFIE COTHRAN, her heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land, situated and lying in the 16th Civil District of Lauderdale County, Tennessee as follows: Bounded on the north by LONNIE BEARD; on the south by RICHARD BROWNING; on the east by DR.S.T.CHAPMAN; on the west by L.L. HINTON, containing 20 acres, more or less. Being the same land purchased by J.M. MIDYETT and R.M. MIDYETT from L.L. HINTON. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances, estate, title and interest thereto belonging to the said MRS.EFFIE COTHRAM, her heirs and assigns forever.
