| Will S. Simpson, resident of Lauderdale County since 1926, died yesterday in a Ripley hospital. Mr. Simpson, 89, a retired farmer, was born in Hornbeak. He was a member of the Golddust Assembly of God Church. He leaves six sons, including Elton and Jim Simpson of Ripley and Carmack Simpson of Memphis; a daughter, two step-sons, one of whom, C. Patterson, lives in Ripley; three brothers, including Charlie Simpson of Kenton and Sam Simpson of Blytheville, Ark., and 38 grandchildren. Services were to be at 4 p.m. today at Garner's Ripley Funeral Home with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. |
