Leonard Wolverton, 80, retired owner and operator of the L & G Motor and Bearings Manufacturing Co. of Dallas, died Wednesday at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg after a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Wolverton, the husband of Warlene Smith Wolverton, also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Marlene Chisenhall and Mrs. Joan Roberts, both of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Owen of Memphis; three brothers, James Wolverton and Ray Wolverton, both of Dallas, and Hassell Wolverton of Dyersburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Rita Vinson of Daytona Beach, Fla., eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
