July 4, 1930 – I.(Isaac) B.(Blackwell) Wheatley, Dead – Just as the sun was fast fading from view in the far west, the spirit of I. B. Wheatley took its flight to its reward on Friday, June 27th. He was born in McNairy County May 20, 1851, and was 79 years, one month, and 7 days old. On November 11, 1874, he was married to Miss Anna Chipman. They had 6 children, 5 of whom preceded him in death. After the death of his first wife in 1885, he married Miss Emma Branden on June 6, 1886. They had 9 children, 7 of whom survive. Also surviving are one brother, one sister, twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services and interment was at Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church and cemetery.
