Odessa Smith Scearce, 80, owner of Halls Auto Parts & Garage, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethesda United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Halls Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Halls Business Association and United Methodist Women.

She leaves a daughter, Jeanie Vickery of Halls; two sons, Ronnie Terrell of Ripley and Marvin Scearce of Halls; two sisters, Warlene Smith and Barbara Strey, and a brother, Romaine Smith, all of Halls, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Bethesda United Methodist Church Building Fund.
