Loyd 'Buddy' Parish, 88, of Halls, a retired factory worker, died Tuesday at his residence. Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8 th, at Halls First Baptist Church, where he was a member, burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens, Garner Funeral Home in charge. He was a member of the V.F.W. He leaves his wife, Pauline Smith Parish, a daughter, Velma Baker, and sister, Elizabeth Moore, all of Halls; and daughter, Shirley Ann Edwards, of Union City; two other sisters, Bertha Mae Robison, of Dyersburg, and Pauline Smith, of Brownsville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
