Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
Local 134, and a member of the Dyersburg Senior Circle. Mr. Adams, husband of Judith A. Adams,

Mrs. R. D. Becton Died Wednesday Night. Mrs. Carrie Becton, civic and church leader of the Poplar
Grove community, died at her home Wednesday night. She was 65. The wife of R. D. (Bob) BECTON,
farmer and landowner, she was born in Lauderdale County and spent her life here. She was a member
of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She leaves her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ellis SASSER, Halls;
a sister, Mrs. Ellie BALLINGER, Maury City. Funeral services were Thursday at Poplar Grove Baptist
Church.
