and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. The family

Clyde Thomas Jackson, A fire of undetermined
origin gutted a Tigrett Street residence and killed its lone residence, Clyde Thomas Jackson,
62, Friday night of last week. Jackson, a retired routeman of Famous Pies, Inc., of Memphis,
was discovered on the floor near the small wooden house heater when firemen brought the blaze
under control. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday in Concord United Methodist Church near
Gates. Burial was in the church cemetery, Halls Funeral Home in Charge. Jackson was a veteran
of Navy service in World War II. He leaves two sons, Mike, of Cordova, and Jeff, of Memphis;
a daughter, Miss Vanessa Jackson, of Bartlett; five brothers, William and Russell, of Gates,
Ernest and Cecil, of Halls, and Raymond, of Ripley; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Dinkins, of McKenzie,
Mrs. Villa Mae O’Steen, of Halls, and Mrs. Pauline Sorrell, of Ripley; and three grandchildren.

was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson, the widower of Florence Dunaway Jackson,

Mrs. Williams, the widow of Guy Samuel Williams, leaves two daughters, Daisy Milan of Memphis
and Martha Davis of Ripley; two sons, Steve Williams of Dyersburg and David Wilford Blakely
of Ripley; two sisters, Burnice Forrester of Oxford, AL, and Fay Williams of Ripley; a brother,
Winston Carmack of Gates, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

George W. Wilson was born May 9th, 1842 and departed
this life March 11th, 1923, aged 81 years. He was married when a young man to Miss Mary HARRIS.
To this union nine children were born. His companion passed away in 1884. He was again married
in 1887 to Mrs. Ida STOKES. To this union four children were born. Bro. WILSON professed faith
in Christ when he was about 48 years old he joined the Concord Methodist Church and later moved
to Curve M. E. Church. Bro WILSON leaves to mourn his death, 7 children; a kind wife and companion
and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Concord Church by Rev.
W. B. RALPH and Rev. L. R. WADSWORTH, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery
behind the church.

retired employee of the Corps of Engineers, died of heart failure Monday at National Healthcare
Center of Fayette County in Somerville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Peebles Fayette
County Funeral Home in Somerville with burial in Concord Cemetery in Halls, Tenn. He was a member
of Macedonia Baptist Church in Edith, Tenn. Mr. Wood, the husband of Edith Fay Dobson Wood,
also leaves two daughters, Wilda Wilson and Betty Stewart, both of Somerville, 15 grandchildren,
35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

here Tuesday evening of last week,following a year's illness.Mrs.WRIGHT was a member of the
