RIPLEY - Anna Ray Dewalt, 81, homemaker, died Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church with burial in Antioch Church Cemetery in Gates. Thompson's Mortuary has charge. She leaves five daughters, Minnie B. Gooch and Genese Gooch, both of Halls, Mary Lewis and Betty Reed, both of Gates, and Patricia Dewalt of Brownsville; six sons, Arthur Dewalt of Dyersburg, Albert Dewalt and Joe Dewalt of Gates, Charles Dewalt of Ripley, Richard Dewalt of Brownsville and Johnnie King of Memphis, 58 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

RIPLEY - Tommy L. Hodges, 27, of Buffalo, N.Y., died Feb. 8 in Buffalo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at Antioch Curve Baptist Church in Gates with burial in the church cemetery. Thompson's Mortuary has charge. He leaves a son, Tommy L. Hodges Jr., and his parents, Pearlie and Samuel Hodges, all of Buffalo; two sisters, Thelma Toomes of Halls and Emma Henry of Buffalo; three brothers, Samuel Hodges, Alvin Crawford and Demario Henry, all of Buffalo, and his grandparents, Sarah Hodges Claybrook and Eddie Lou Tucker.

HALLS - Kathen V. Sangster, 56, homemaker, died of heart failure Thursday at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Baptist Church in Gates with burial in Antioch Curve Cemetery there. Thompson's Mortuary has charge. Mrs. Sangster, the wife of Elvis Sangster, also leaves four daughters, Teresa Sangster, Kathy Riley and Angela Sangster, all of Gates, and Donna Sangster of Halls; three sons, Edwin Sangster and Tony Sangster, both of Gates, and Lafayette Sangster of Stanton, and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Toomes, the widow of Robert Toomes, leaves three daughters, Nellie Anderson, Kathy Toomes and Ivery Dell Toomes, all of Ripley; five sons, Thomas Toomes and Teddy Toomes, both of Ripley, and Kenneth Toomes, Godfrey Toomes and Robert Toomes Jr., all of Halls; two sisters, Mary Croombs of Toone and Lou Ella Theus of Mercer; three brothers, George Justice, Jimmy Justice and James Justice, all of Toone, 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
