Hodges Jr., and his parents, Pearlie and Samuel Hodges, all of Buffalo; two sisters, Thelma Toomes of Halls and Emma Henry of Buffalo; three brothers, Samuel Hodges, Alvin Crawford and Demario Henry, all of Buffalo, and his grandparents, Sarah Hodges Claybrook and Eddie Lou Tucker.
