Mr. John McCrory of Halls, age 58, was struck on the head by a falling limb while working at a mill in Gates last Saturday and died the following morning. He leaves two children, one of whom is married, the other about 15 years old. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Garrett of Ripley, relatives of the deceased, attended the funeral Monday. Burial was in Cross Roads.
