Roosevelt Jones, 84, retired farmer and employee of Dyer Bros. Lumber Co., died Sunday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Halls First United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Halls Funeral Home has charge.

Jones, the husband of Ollie Mae Jones, also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Linda Summar of Ripley and Mrs. Brenda Cochran of El Cajon, Calif.; three sons, Floyd Jones of Johnson City, Billy Wayne Jones of Halls and Donald L. Jones of Charleston, S.C., nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
