James Daniel Jones, 68, retired from Tupperware Co. in Halls, died of cardiac arrest Wednesday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale in Ripley. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Memorial Garden there.

He was a member of Gates Baptist Church and a Korean War Army veteran. Mr. Jones, the husband of Helen Frances Broglin Jones, also leaves four sons, Eddie Jones of Ripley, James Jones of Gates, and Tommy D. Jones and Ray Edwin Jones, both of Maury City; a sister, Peggy Gwinn of Crockett Mills; two brothers, Joe Hollis Jones of Lakeville, Ill., and Ray Edwin Jones of Crockett Mills, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
