"The Lauderdale County Enterprise"
(Issue from August 16, 1929) Death of a Little Child-- |
Monday, August 12, just as the sun was sinking in the far off West, the spirit of little Georgia Lee Hutcherson took its homeward flight to the great beyond. He had been sick the past eight weeks and on Sunday night developed pneumonia which hastened the end. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Odell Hutcherson, and besides his parents, leaves to mourn his going away, two sisters and two brothers. He will be greatly missed in the home here, but he has gone to the home not made by hands. We must not think of him as dead, but only sleeping. Georgia Lee was born March 22, 1928. His remains were laid to rest in Prospect Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. F. Savage of Ripley. Mrs. Mary Burlison of Brownsville; Mrs. Gertie Hutcherson of Memphis; Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Ray of Ripley; Mrs. Maggie Grantham of Covington; Mr. & Mrs. Tom Ray and Mrs. Emma Ray of Curve were among those who attended the services from a distance. |
