Mrs. J. T. Gean died at her home in the Poplar Grove Community Sunday at the age of 83. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Poplar Grove with the Rev. A. D. Salisbury officiating, assisted by Rev. N. D. Salisbury. Burial in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Garland G. GEAN, of Halls and Rev. George W. GEAN of the Poplar Grove Community; three daughters, Mrs. M. T. SORRELL, Mrs. N. L. ARCHER and Mrs. Andrew SCOTT; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
