Page 1; DEATH Services for Gus L.FITZGERALD, a farmer of the Lightfoot community, were held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. The Rev. Pittman MARBURY officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr.FITZGERALD, 71, died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday in Lauderdale County Hospital, which he entered on Thursday. A lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, he was a member of the Holiness Church.

He leaves two sons, Willis FITZGERALD, of Morris Chapel, and J. D. FITZGERALD, of Chicago, IL; a step-son, Freeman MIDYETT, of Ripley; Two daughters, Mrs. Mae CROWELL of Brownsville and Mrs. Lorene RHODES, of Ripley; (Lorene was not his daughter, she was his step-daughter); eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
