SERVICES FOR NEWT ESCUE--Ripley police officer, were held Thursday at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery. Mr. ESCUE, 68, died Tuesday in Lauderdale County Hospital following his second heart attack. Born in Haywood County, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Tulie Mills ESCUE; one son, Hubert ESCUE, of Ripley; four brothers, Jim ESCUE, Arnold ESCUE, Dave ESCUE, and Cecil ESCUE, all of Ripley; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie MURLEY, of Ripley, Mrs. Irma LOVELL, of Brownsville, Mrs. Eula HOWARD, of Memphis, and Mrs. Ida Lee HALL, of Forked Deer.
