Betty Jean Erwin, 69, retired seamstress for Todd Uniform Co. in Ripley and Halltex Manufacturing in Halls, died Tuesday at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Halls Funeral Home with burial in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Elon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Erwin, the widow of Aaron Neal Erwin, leaves a daughter, Ginger Faye Dozier of Newbern; three sisters, Charlene Abernathy of Halls, Callie Leggett of Ripley and Linnie Gilliland of Maury City; a brother, Tommy Howard Bobo of Shannon, Miss., and two grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Dyersburg County Community Fund.
