Elton D. Simpson, 80, retired farmer, died Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Garner Funeral Home with burial in Ripley Memorial Gardens. He attended Olive Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Simpson, the husband of Margaret Williams Simpson, also leaves a daughter, Mary Phyllis Olds; a son, James Elton Simpson; a stepdaughter, Mary Gladys Kiestler; two stepsons, Louis Williams and Donald Williams, all of Ripley, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
